Morihan Uji Matcha Kotokunomukashi 30g
This stone-ground Uji matcha, favored by the head of the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony, bears the name reflecting the desire to widely spread the virtues of tea. Enjoy its rich umami and dignified aroma in a can.
"Kotoku no Mukashi" (The Old Age of Kotoku) is a name that embodies the desire to spread the virtues of tea, and it is a Uji matcha favored by the head of the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony.
Tencha, the raw material for matcha, is grown by covering the new shoots that sprout around April to block direct sunlight, allowing it to slowly accumulate umami and the unique aroma of matcha in soft light.
By slowly grinding this tencha with a traditional stone mill, a vibrant deep green color, a strong foam, a dignified aroma, and the rich umami and flavor characteristic of thick matcha are created.
Stone-ground matcha can only produce about 30g per hour, making this a precious Uji matcha that is finished with time and effort.
This tin is perfect for elegant tea ceremonies or as a gift for someone special.
This product is limited to 10 items per customer.
