Morihan Uji Matcha Chikurekinomukashi 30g
Named after the bamboo nodes that mark the calendar, this stone-ground Uji matcha for thick tea is a favorite of the head of the Urasenke school. Enjoy its rich umami and deep aroma in a can.
"Chikureki no Mukashi" is a name that embodies the meaning of the bamboo nodes that mark the calendar, and it is a Uji matcha for thick tea favored by the head of the Urasenke school.
Tencha, the raw material for matcha, is grown by covering the new shoots that sprout around April to block direct sunlight, allowing it to slowly accumulate umami and the unique aroma of matcha in soft light.
By slowly grinding this tencha with a traditional stone mill, a vibrant dark green color, a strong foam, a deep aroma, and the rich umami and flavor unique to thick tea are created.
Stone-ground matcha can only produce about 30g per hour, making it a precious Uji matcha that is finished with time and effort.
This tin is perfect for elegant tea ceremonies and as a gift.
This product is limited to 10 items per customer.
