Japan's Oldest Tea Tree Matcha 30g - Stone Milled
CONCEPT
A rare matcha made from Japan’s oldest tea tree, estimated to be over 300 years old. Carefully cultivated without pesticides or fertilizers, this heritage tea embodies purity and timeless tradition.
Product Description
This matcha is produced in Uji, Kyoto, near the historic Byodoin Temple, where the same tea-farming family has cultivated tea for over 15 generations since the Edo period.
The tea leaves are harvested from a 300-year-old native tea tree, confirmed by soil carbon dating, and grown entirely without pesticides or fertilizers since 2016.
Each harvest is carefully stone-milled on August 8, 2025, after one year of aging to deepen its flavor.
This 30g tin provides about 15 servings and delivers a smooth, refined umami with no bitterness.
Its natural cultivation and heritage origin make it a symbol of longevity and a truly unique matcha experience.

Brand Description
Our family has been cultivating tea for more than 300 years in Uji, Kyoto, since our ancestor Shojiro first planted tea trees on this land.
We continue his legacy by growing tea without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, using only natural compost from persimmon trees and wild grasses surrounding the fields.
This matcha represents the true flavor of Uji’s native tea variety as it might have been enjoyed centuries ago, offering a clean, elegant taste with gentle umami in every sip.
