Selected from large, plump sardines with a fat content of approximately 20% or more, it boasts a level of quality superior to standard Toro Sardine canned products. The seasoning is carefully crafted to bring out the umami of the ingredients, using only Japanese whole soy sauce aged for over a year, brown sugar from Kikaijima Island, and salt from Izu Oshima Island. It's delicious as is, perfect as a side dish with rice or as a snack. It has a long shelf life of approximately three years (1,080 days) from the date of manufacture, and can be stored at room temperature. These large sardines are carefully packed by hand using a method called "chrysanthemum packing," and are beautifully arranged in the can.
