Tuna and bonito, including canned tuna, must comply with unique U.S. regulations, such as the Dolphin Safe Certification System and Fisheries Origin Certificate (NOAA Form 370), and must submit dolphin bycatch prevention measures and fishing certificates. Mackerel, salmon, and other seafood must also comply with strict standards, such as FDA facility registration, sanitation management based on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and ingredient labeling.
