Since its founding in 1968, Obento Hirai has been supporting the "food" of Kumamoto for over 50 years,

This dish can only be enjoyed at eat-in restaurants in Kumamoto,
and has many fans outside the prefecture, selling a million servings a year.
20 years ago, the first ramen they created was the "common" ramen you'd find at eat-in restaurants.
However, Yama-chan, also known as Yamase Hirotaka, who is in charge of development, did not compromise,
and approached the ramen with the sole desire to "serve delicious ramen for our customers!"
After eating at famous restaurants around the country and doing research,
they created a ramen that they could be proud of and say "this is definitely delicious!"
And that is the "Otoko! Yama-chan Ramen" that is loved by the people of Kumamoto Prefecture.
